another interview

So I have just been called by the local library here for an interview. I'm happy and upset at the same time. What a predicament. The interview is scheduled for the afternoon of the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. That is the same day that we were planning to drive to Kentucky for the holiday since we have a friend from Wisconsin and a friend from Edinburgh coming to meet us there. This is an 11 hour drive. Leaving at 3pm is not really ideal. Why would they schedule interviews for that week?
