The flamingo is a cross stitch pattern from Cross Stitch Crazy. The first time I used it, I made a thank you card. A friend at work saw the card and asked me to make it again for a friend of hers. They have a running joke about flamingos and give each other flamingo themed gifts each year. So we decided on a bag and she wanted it tacky. I figured flowers and rhinestones would do the trick. I found the pattern for the flowers here. Then my friend saw a nifty saying that needed to be included somewhere on the bag. I put it on the back.

In case you need help, it says "Butter my buns and call me a biscuit."
Funny how making the first flamingo took me one evening, but making the second one took me weeks! But it came out very cute (and tacky).

Oh, girl! Two things:
1) At first I saw the pictures and hadn't yet read the text and I thought, "dear GOD, that thing is TACKY! How will I arrange my face so that next time I see Kim wearing it around I won't grimace or giggle?" Then I actually read the post. Ahh, that's a relief.
2) At first I read the saying as, "Butter my buns and call me a Bratwurst."
I'm thinking maybe an eye exam should happen soon.
I'm laughing so hard. At least I achieved my objective!
j'aime beaucoup votre sac.I'love your bag kiss Isabelle
