the yellow room

It's done, it's done, it's done. And it is beautiful. I was a bit worried because it was soooo yellow, but overnight it seemed to mellow out. Just after we finished, B said it was like being in butter. I think that was a compliment. I'm taking it as one. After Hungary, we will have to start on the other rooms. I still have to move everything back into the room. I also need to get new curtains. The shears just seem drab now that the room is so bright and energetic. I think some nice white curtains. Hmmmmm. We also have to find a bed frame for the mattress. Unfortunately we need to do that tomorrow. My mom is arriving in the afternoon. Yikes!

Again, the pictures are on my flickr site since I couldn't be bothered trying to figure out how to upload them here.

Loved the pictures of your room redecorated; it looks really warm!

Funny thing, but I never paint any room blue now because (as your previous pictures showed) it can really make a room look cold. The only time I ever painted a room blue was the kitchen in Bonaly (which Balint will remember), but it got full sun in the mornings so looked like the seaside!
